Money Heist has finally wrapped up, ending a whole era. These red-clad antiheroes have robbed the Spanish Mint and the Bank of Spain. Some of them have sadly died. We’ve even witnessed them fall in love with each other. 

This saga can’t possibly finish with only five seasons. We have both good and terrible news on this front. Here’s everything we know about Money Heist’s future.

Is there a Money Heist Season 6 in the works?

Yes! A Money Heist spinoff is in the works at Netflix. The story will be set in Berlin, according to Deadline (Pedro Alonso). The working title is Berlin. We don’t know what the spinoff will be about or who will be involved. Without a doubt, it will be a prequel. We’re hoping to see other Money Heist characters in the new Netflix original series.

The Money Heist offshoot Berlin’s release date has been set

Netflix has yet to announce the official release date for Berlin or Money Heist Season 6. Berlin, on the other hand, will be available on Netflix in 2023. Netflix announced the spinoff and its release year in a tweet before the release of Money Heist season 5 in December 2021.

What Could the Theme of Berlin Be?

Naturally, the focus of this new series will be on fan-favorite Berlin (Pedro Alonso), aka Andrés de Fonollosa, aka The Professor’s (lvaro Morte) brother. Beyond that, though, little is known about the series. Because Berlin died in Part 2, it’s safe to assume that this next chapter won’t take place after Money Heist. However, there are still a lot more stories that can be told in this series.

Berlin’s Cast

So far, only one cast member for La Casa De Papel or Money Heist Season 6 has been revealed: Pedro Alonso, who will play Berlin in the new series.
