At last, the viewers got their first glimpse of Geena in “The Conners,” a spin-off of “Roseanne.”

The most awaited character, Geena, who has been deployed to Afghanistan for the past two years with her husband D.J. (Michael Fishman) and son Dr. Jayden Rey (Jayden Rey), was reintroduced to her fans in Season 7, Episode 9 (“White Men Can’t Kiss”) of the original “Roseanne,” in a scene where D.J. had to kiss during a school play (a piece of news via IMDb).
She has a more rigorous attitude than the other Conners have, which comes across strongly in Season 1, Episode 4- The Separation of Church and Dan, when she discovers that D.J. hasn’t taken Mary to church during her absence and demands that the family start going back right once.
Geena has a rigid nature yet a deadpan sense of humor!
Although Geena is shown as being rigid in some ways, she also exhibits a deadpan sense of humor.
Upon hearing about Becky’s pregnancy, she says, “We need to celebrate this now because once the baby comes, you won’t get a moment’s peace. I had to go to Afghanistan just to get a decent night’s sleep.”
Alas, fans got impatient because of on and off storylines between D.J. and Geena on “The Conners.” They were waiting eagerly for her to return since she hadn’t appeared on the show since Season 3.

In 2012, she made her on-screen debut with a small role as Sophia in Season 1, Episode 3 named Emergence of the short-lived series Nightwing: Escalation.
In 2015, she wrote, created, and produced a web series named “HTMAST,” which centers around a struggling actress who is considering making a sex tape with a famous celebrity.

Maya Lynne Robinson, the talented and versatile actress, is the one who plays Geena on “The Conners.”
Before making her debut as Geena in 2018, Robinson appeared in a guest role in “Mom” Season 6, Episode 1- Pre-Washed Lettuce and a Mime, as Amanda, a newbie Christy (Anna Faris) offers her phone number to during an A.A. meeting.
In the most recent episode of the CBS sitcom “The Unicorn,” Robinson played Michelle, a widower named Wade Felton (Walton Goggins) who is trying to raise two teenage kids and deal with being a single father.
Michelle, a close friend and next-door neighbour, has been working to help Felton reintegrate into society while juggling her own four children. Michelle has a sarcastic sense of humour and doesn’t hold back, telling Felton, “You need to get your butt out of this house and start dating.”
Verdict
It is yet not clear if Robinson will return to “The Conners,” but in an interview with Meaww, she said, “I am forever grateful for the opportunity to play with that amazingly talented cast. Hopefully, I get to go back for an appearance or two.”
