M.O.D.O.K Is Gone
Sadly, it’s a short and twisted journey for M.O.D.O.K in MCU. Oh, you don’t know who he is? Antman 3 reveals that Darren Cross was lost in the Quantum Realm after his encounter with Antman in the first movie. Hopefully or rather unfortunately, he fell into the hands of Kang who transformed him into a Mechanized Organism Designed Only For Killing (M.O.D.O.K).
Though M.O.D.O.K has a brief appearance in the Marvel comics, his span in MCU was pretty short and simple. He came, showered his powers on Antman and his family, created complex situations for them, and in the end, Cassie Lang took him down.
Several More Deaths
In the battle of the Quantum Realm, several freedom fighters and soldiers of the Big Baddie Kang lost their lives. While there were many faces, Bill Murray’s character Lord Krylar got the attention of the fans. However, near the end, he was missing from the scene. So, the fans were speculating that he is probably dead off-screen as he was last seen on the dinner plate of a humongous creature.
Death Of The Big Baddie
Yes!! You heard it right, the mighty Kang of the Quantum Realm is dead at the end of the movie. But as you know “death” is a familiar term for Kang. Kang vaporized at the core of the Timesphere engine.
However, in the mid-credit scene we get a major shock as we see Kang’s death in Antman 3 was something expected. But the main thing is in the mid-credit we see a council of Kangs confirming that they have multiple alternatives or backup variants of Kang to be replaced. So, it’s pretty clear that Kang will be back in Loki Season 2.
Is Kang’s Game Over?
Definitely not. Kang is the main villain of MCU Phase 5. His death is just a mirage for the heroes. He has a bunch of variants that are even stronger than what we saw in Antman 3. So, we are heading towards something huge as a council of Kangs is plotting against the heroes on Earth.
Antman And Wasp Quantumania End Credits Explained
The first end credits see a council of Kang’s variants. Among the whole host of Kang, one named Rama-Tut, a Pharaoh of Egypt, a variant traveling back in time took the limelight. This scene clearly shows that a team of Kangs is gearing up to face the Avengers or the new Avengers with a touch of oldness.
Second, Antman and Wasp Quantumania end credits is used as a stepping stone to Loki Season 2. We find Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius relaxing in the audience and watching the speech of Victor Timely, a Kang variant from 1920.
