A supernatural monstrous creature escapes and kidnaps a boy named Will Byers and also a teenage girl whose name is Barbara Holland.

The second season of Stranger Things was released worldwide on Netflix by the streamer on October 27, 2017. 

In this season, we witness more horrific and strange things happening in the town of Hawkins because of the Upside Down portal. Billy and Maxine (Sadie Sink) become friends with the core teenage group of the Stranger Things. 

El survives and is able to close the doors of the lab but is unable to kill the monster. Will, who was saved in Season 1,  and the monster called The Mind Flayer develop a symbiotic relationship.

It’s in this season where we see Billy possessed by The Mind Flayer and is attacking the people of Hawkins. Billy is later killed by the teenage group with The Mind Flayer inside him.
