Breaking News: Warner Bros. Reportedly Removed Amber Heard Scenes from Aquaman 2!!

As the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continued, Heard claimed that owing to her legal fighting with Depp, Warner Bros. decreased her appearance in Aquaman 2 and the Lost Kingdom and nearly took her out completely.

While previously claimed that Heard was almost cut from the Aquaman sequel due to “chemistry concerns” with co-star Jason Momoa, Heard contended that she had to fight to save her part due to her ongoing legal battle.

The $50 million defamation trial has been ongoing for a few weeks, with Depp taking the stand before Amber Heard’s latest testimony.

Even though the trial had been suspended for a week, Heard returned to the witness stand today to complete his testimony.

Despite the high stakes in the case, it has become the stuff of internet jokes, with numerous scenes being replayed and captioned on social media applications like TikTok.

While defending herself against Depp’s lawsuit, Heard spoke about her future role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, saying how Depp’s claimed acts toward her and the ensuing legal battles related to them had a significant influence on her position in the film and her career.

Amber Heard had the following conversation with her lawyer about her “reduced” position in the Warner Bros. film during her testimony today.

A Change.org petition to get Heard removed totally from her part in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has gathered over 4.2 million signatures since the latest trial.

The petition outlines several of Johnny Depp’s charges that Heard physically and emotionally assaulted him and other evidence that has surfaced in recent weeks. It encourages Warner Bros. to “do the right thing” and remove Heard from the film.

Of course, this isn’t the first time a petition against the actress’s participation in the superhero sequel has been circulated, but this time it has received far more attention and support from Depp fans. Warner Bros. is unlikely to cave into the petition’s demands at this late date, with production on the picture completed.

However, because Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom were just pushed back from December 2022 to March 2023, Warner Bros. may have more time to make changes if maintaining Heard in the cast appears to be causing complications with the film’s release.

For the time being, Heard will continue to play Mera, albeit in a limited capacity, and the outcome of the trial will most likely determine whether she maintains the character or not.

The issue surrounding Heard grows more troubling with each passing day, in this case, a little under a year before her next DCEU film. When you combine that with other significant Warner Bros. difficulties, most notably The Flash star Ezra Miller’s legal issues, you have a very uncomfortable position for the franchise’s future.

So, what do you think is Warner Bros.’s move of removing Amber Heard from Aquaman 2, correct? Tell us in the comment box.
