The news about Umbrella Academy Season 3 has been swarming all over the internet. While all the fandoms are wondering about The Umbrella Academy Season 3 villain, it is safe to say that everyone can agree upon one fact that the Uniter of the Umbrella Academy, the disturbing patriarch Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) is the one to be causing the most amount of damage to the Umbrella Academy members.
But who is The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Villain? Here is everything we know so far…
The Umbrella Academy Sneak Peek
To give a brief recap of what happened in the past two seasons of The Umbrella Academy, the story of the titular group of supernatural beings started when 43 randomly selected women suddenly gave birth to 43 mystery children without showing any signs of pregnancy.
Reginald Hargreeves, the eccentric billionaire, tries to adopt as many of those mysterious children as he can – however it gets revealed pretty soon that he is not adopting these kids just to have a family, but rather to build an army of soldiers for his own benefit.
Clearly, Reginald’s selfish intent with the children leads to him being the most abusive and worst father in the world – as he continues to hold scary experiments to violate his adopted children.
Throughout the whole two seasons of the show, Reginald has been the prime patriarch villain. But according to the news about Umbrella Academy Season 3, we’re set to get a new villain in the new season …so who is The Umbrella Academy Season 3 villain?
Umbrella Academy Season 3 Villain
Although we’re used to seeing Reginald as the main villain of the series, surprisingly enough, he is not the one to be doing the worst act of the new season.
So the new Umbrella Academy Season 3 villain title surprisingly goes to Allison Hargreeves (Emmy Raver-Lampman).
Coming off as a huge shock for the fans, Allison, who has been the stable voice of reason among the Umbrella Academy and also the one to hold out hope for the tortured Viktor after his vocal cords were slashed – is going to be the worst redeemable character of the new season.
Season 3 of Umbrella Academy has gone wide-reaching about Allison’s villainous activities.
Allison’s villain origin story begins with her losing her daughter Claire due to a time alteration done by the Umbrella Academy in 1963 to prevent certain activities from happening, which resulted in calamity in the future.
When the Umbrella Academy returns to the new future, Allison goes through a painful turn of events – which involves her leaving the 60s with a loving husband and her beloved daughter in the paradox created by the Umbrellas. Allison finds herself in a present where her daughter Claire does not exist- which sets off the villainous intent in her.
The moment Allison realizes her loss, she loses all ability to empathize with anyone else and only sees her own pain as the biggest thing.
Allison becomes a horrifying character when she uses her pain as a power to terrorize everyone that she has left – with her first victim being Luther.
Luther finds love with Sparrow Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez), but Allison does not handle it well because since she didn’t get to experience the happiness of being loved, she couldn’t handle anyone else being happy either.
When Luther offers to befriend Allison, in a horrifying set of events – Allison forces an intimate encounter with Luther and, despite Luther fighting for it, he had to give in to the power of Allison. And yet, the horrifying acts of Allison do not stop here, as she proceeds to murder Viktor’s spiritual son Harlan with no remorse.
However, at the end, Allison unites with Reginald in his plan to alter the events of the past. Although she speaks about the selfishness of Reginald knowing that he will be sacrificing the rest of his children in the process, Reginald shows no remorse because as we all know, Reginald will not bat an eye to sacrificing his children for his own selfish intentions.
At the end, Allison does get back everything she ever wanted – with her husband and her daughter Claire. Although the consequences of her horrifying actions still remain as Luther loses Sloane.
So, in conclusion, Allison’s appearance as the new Umbrella Academy Season 3 villain and that too, in a terrifying way, has definitely shocked the fans. But the addition of her as a new, scarier villain has definitely added some element to the series.
