The first half of Stranger Things season 4, which introduced its new big bad, Vecna, portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower, far surpassed viewers’ expectations.

Since the terrible sentient creature feeds on the children’s worries and remorse, Vecna is undoubtedly the most significant challenge Eleven and his friends have faced so far.

Vecna took Max (Sadie Sink) in the first season, but she overcame his clutches by playing her favorite song, “Running Up That Hill”.

In the fourth season’s climax scene, Vecna develops a physic connection with Nancy which puts her into a trance. Steve remains in the Upside Down to save Nancy. Both characters’ lives were left hanging in the balance.
