In Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales embarks on yet another Spider-Verse adventure, but new merchandise for the Sony flick spoils the introduction of another Spider hero.
The sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was initially meant to be part one of a two-parter, but Sony chose to label each of them separately.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is the name of the third movie. Even more, characters have been promised, in addition to Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man 2099, and Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew), who will appear alongside Miles Morales.
Spider-Man Across the Spider Verse merch are viral over the internet
The images and videos of the Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse merch were shared on various social media platforms. These included a Spider-Punk mask and a red and blue guitar introduced as “Spider-Punk Web Blast.”
Three punk rock spikes that run up the forehead are in addition to the mask’s well-known Spider-Man mask form.
Spider-Punk made its debut in 2014’s Amazing Spider-Man #10 and was created by Dan Slott and Olivier Coipel.
Hobie Brown from Earth-138 who also took part in Marvel’s initial Spider-Verse adventure, which took place between 2014 and 2015. He recently starred in a solo miniseries by Justin Mason and Cody Ziglar.
Are six different universes involved in Spider-Man Across the Spider Verse?
Producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller of Across the Spider-Verse spoke about the movie at CinemaCon, describing how over 1,000 people worked on it and how many characters there are overall.
“We had to try and break new ground, so it’s way bigger,” they claimed. “The number of characters [is massive]. The first movie has 40. This one has 240 characters.”
The producers also went on to say that the film starts on Earth-65, Spider-Gwen’s home world, before continuing to Earth-160, which is the primary continuity in which Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales lives. Miller said that there are six different universes involved in the movie “so far.”
It’s much bigger since we had to try to pioneer something new, they claimed. “The amount of characters [is enormous]. 40 are in the first movie. These are 240 characters long.” The movie begins on Earth-65, Spider-home Gwen’s home world, before moving on to Earth-160, which is the main continuity in which Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales lives, as informed by the film’s producers.
According to Miller, the movie “so far” involves six separate universes.
Postponement in the release date
The release date of Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse was postponed from October 7, 2022, to June 2, 2023.
Miller responded to the delay shortly after it was announced on social media with the plain statement, “More time to make it great,” along with a spider emoji.
In Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales/Spider-Man (Moore) and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman (Steinfeld) go on a journey across the multiverse and a new team of spider people who must face a powerful villain.
The script for the movie was written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham, and it was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson.
