Many fans were surprised to learn that the new generation of Pokémon will arrive sooner than expected. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were revealed on Pokémon Day 2022, and they debut later this year.
The last few months have seen no shortage of content for Pokémon fans, with games like Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Legends: Arceus, and while recent games have sparked a lot of debate, the information revealed so far suggests this could be the open-world Pokémon game fans have been waiting for.
The Trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The announcement video for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet takes a different approach, focusing on a security officer gazing around a gloomy, artifact-filled chamber at Game Freak’s office before showing off part of the region.
Fans have already remarked that the texturing on several of the Pokémon in the teaser appear to be significantly more realistic than in previous games, with Seviper appearing to have scales and Magneton appearing to be glossy and metallic. The new player characters and, probably most significantly, the region’s three beginning Pokémon, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, are also revealed.
Things we know about Pokémon Scarlet And Violet so far
The only other thing that is certain is that Scarlet and Violet will be the first genuine open-world Pokémon games, which is tremendously exciting. Generation IX would have a continuous environment where settlements merge into the woods and Pokémon may be found anywhere, from the grass to the skies to the city, unlike Pokémon Legends: Arceus (a game the creators never referred to as open-world), which had discrete open regions to explore.
When Will Scarlet And Violet Be Available?
Scarlet and Violet will be available in the fall of 2022. While no exact date has been mentioned, prior main series Pokémon games have been released in mid-November since 2013, thus upcoming titles are expected to follow suit. While no further details regarding the game’s release, such as special editions or presale incentives, have been revealed, the games will support Pokémon HOME.
