Ethan Hawke is considering whether or not there will be a second season of Moon Knight or some other form of a sequel. Hawke will be the newest A-lister to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the Disney+ series Moon Knight, which premieres next week. Arthur Harrow, the antagonist to Oscar Isaac’s hero Marc Spector, is played by him. Marc, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder, has been granted powers by the Egyptian moon deity Khonshu, which he may use to combat crime.

Moon Knight, like the previous Marvel series released for Disney+, was created with the goal of expanding the MCU. This series, on the other hand, stands apart from the rest since it is the first to feature a new hero. It’s probable that Isaac’s Marc will connect with other aspects of the MCU in the future, but Marvel has been tight-lipped about how that will happen. The only thing that is certain for now is that Moon Knight will be a limited series, with the first of six episodes premiering on March 30.

Despite the fact that there has been no sign that Moon Knight would get a second season, Hawke discussed the potential in a recent interview with IGN. Hawke stated he could see it going either way when asked if he and Isaac would be willing to return to their characters in the future, or if Moon Knight would be handled as a one-shot. Moon Knight’s future will most likely remain a mystery until the first season concludes.

Marvel is known for holding its plans tight to its chest, so if the series leaves any strands hanging, it won’t make sense to talk about what’s coming next until everyone has seen everything. Moon Knight, as Hawke mentioned, might be more of a genesis story for a greater character.

This might suggest that, even if a second season isn’t in the works, the show could serve as a springboard for something bigger in the MCU. Fans will have to see Moon Knight learn the rest of the narrative.

So, what do you think will there be Moon Knight Season 2 or not? Tell us in the comment section.
