The filmmaker stated on Twitter that the last episode of the Marvel Cinematic Universe trilogy, which has starred Zoe Saldana and Chris Pratt, has wrapped production. More than six months after filming began, a photo of Gunn alongside Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and Sean Gunn was released. This time covers the filming of the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special, which was shot concurrently with the film. Regarding Zoe Saldana, there’s nothing to be concerned about. Yet, many fans were worried when the photo was released because the actress was not present.
Later, the director acknowledged that Zoe Saldana was with them. Still, he couldn’t release a photo of her since she was with an actor who hadn’t disclosed yet.
Hence, he shared another photo to avoid the supposed spoiler of the next sequel, which he has eagerly prepared for Marvel Studios.

The third chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise began filming in November. And director James Gunn announced on Monday that the third installment has finished shooting.
Gunn has been working with the Marvel crew for a decade since the first Guardians of the Galaxy was published in 2014. The filmmaker has previously stated that this would be the final picture in which the originals would appear. It’s an emotional time for individuals who have been a part of the Guardians group. Gunn wrote a touching piece on the last decade.
“Explaining how much I like this cast and staff to others is quite simple. It’s more difficult to express how much I like these characters and regard them as extensions of myself and those individuals. “Watching, shooting, and writing about the individuals I care about is a method of expressing that love,” Gunn concluded. “Again, I’ll continue working with him till he’s freed next year, but taking that last photo was a reminder of the warm insecurity of life and love and how this mortality made it so precious, so important, and I have good cause to be grateful for what I have today.”

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Release Date
On May 5, 2023, the third chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise will be released. In December 2022, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will air on Disney Plus.
For the time being, Gunn will concentrate on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, which is now in post-production. Marvel will keep specifics about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 under wraps for as long as possible.
