The first three seasons were recognized by many awards including Primetime Emmy’s & Golden Globe Awards; however, since then there have been five more wins which include two achievement award opportunities at 71st Primetime Creative Arts ceremony (Penton).

The fourth season of Boardwalk Empire was set in Kansas City and starred Chris Rock as Loy Cannon, the head of a crime syndicate made up black migrants fleeing Jim Crow South.
