The Dungeons & Dragons trailer for its new venture Honor Among Thieves is just released, and yes, we can’t keep our calm.
The trailer, which has the rather cumbersome title Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, was released at the San Diego Comic-Con, revealing a film that appears to swing between serious fantasy epic and light entertainment.
The Dungeons & Dragons trailer’s scenes, which star Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, and Justice Smith, feature all of the dragons and swords that the fantasy roleplaying game is known for, humor, and lots of action.
With an upcoming live-action film set in the fictional universe, the comeback of D&D in mainstream culture continues.
In the film ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, the title is central to the plot: thieves steal a magical object from a dungeon for the wrong people, and dragons join in.
At the same time, the epicness of the sequences is reduced by comic bits, giving the impression that the film is a blend of fantasy and light comedy based on the trailer.
The official synopsis of the film describes how a charming thief and a team of odd adventurers decide to rob a stolen artifact, but things end up going wrong when they cross paths with the bad people.
The makers of the film ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ stated that they had been fans of the game for a long time!!
Goldstein had been playing since he was ten, and his brother, the dungeon master, killed his character. Daley began playing during his tenure as an actor on Freaks and Geeks.
Pine didn’t learn about the game until he was 42 when the filmmakers brought him a box of D&D games. The Star Trek star says he knew about the game via his nephew, who was a big fan.
Dungeons & Dragons is a game that youngsters in every high school should play. Put the bully and the jock in the same room for 20 minutes, and I promise they won’t remember what sort of class they came from, who their best friends are, or who the nerd is. “They simply want to have fun and play,” Pine added.
