With reports coming about, another installment in the extended DC Universe with Barbara Gordon portraying Batgirl in the upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics.
Following this, reports of the Blue Beetle started getting floated. As the new feature of the Blue Beetle is all set to be premiered on 18th August 2023, we have been gushing with its news from all directions.
The 15th installment of the DC extended universe is all set to make us go bonkers with its new release and much-awaited The Blue Beetle.
Before we go any further, let’s know a few more details about Scarab and how it makes one a Beetle.
Blue Beetle Sneak Peek
Created by an alien race called The Reach, the Scarab is known to be an alien technology and artificial intelligence. Scarabs can be found in many worlds, and whenever a Scarab finds a host, the result we get is typically a “Beetle.”
As the story goes, Scarab is attached to the body of Jaime Reyes, an ordinary, normal teenage boy from El Paso, Texas. Earlier we see that Jaime’s Scarab was in the “off mode,” which means it did not function properly due to the effect of the magics exercised on it.
Because it is shaped like a blue scarab, it is named “Blue Beetle.”
(Not much like the bite of a spider!!)
Jaime Reyes – The Third Blue Beetle
Recently announced film coming right as an installment of the DC universe, about a young vigilante Jaime Reyes who is more known as the Blue Beetle, will be casting an American actor Xolo Maridueña. The 20-year-old star is famous for his role as Miguel Diaz in the Netflix series Cobra Kai. Now he will be seen playing the part of the Blue Beetle aka Jaime Reyes in the upcoming installment of the DC universe “Blue Beetle.”
Where are Paco & Brenda in the Blue Beetle??
As the other cast members are known to us now, we are still struggling to find Jaime’s best friends, Paco and Brenda!!!

We will witness Bruna Marquezine, the Brazilian actress as Penny, teamed up with George Lopez, the famous American Comedian, and Actor portraying the character of Rudy, along with many more.
But in all this, there have been no announcements for the roles of Paco and Brenda – Jaime’s best friends!!!
There might be chances that they are kept under the sun for now and are not being revealed to us. There is also a possibility that Paco and Brenda might have a short cameo towards the end of the movie, giving a hint of their being a part of the film series in its sequel.

The New 52, which DC described as a reboot, a historic renumbering of the entire DC Universe line of comic books with 52 first issues, would slightly change the continuity, where it is reported that Paco would gain powers that are similar to Jaime as Jaime lost control of his Scarab, which makes the former one turn into a Blood Beetle – the one who sees the Blue Beetle as a threat.
