While the fans were wondering where is Lalo in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul made the ultimate revelation. Here is everything we know so far.
Better Call Saul returns for a two-part sixth and final season, and star Bob Odenkirk has guaranteed that the Breaking Bad prequel will be more intertwined than ever before. “It’s remarkable how many overlaps [the writers] identified and exploited for this season of our show,” Odenkirk, who portrays Saul Goodman revealed.
“When people finish watching this [season], they’ll be like, ‘I have to go watch Breaking Bad again,'” he predicted. “Now there’s so much interaction.” More than any other time of year. By a lot.”
Breaking Bad Easter eggs abound in Better Call Saul, including appearances by Krazy-8 ( Maximino Arciniega), DEA agent Hank Schrader (Dean Norris), and his associate Steven “Gomie” Gomez (Steven Michael Quezada). More famous names, including a cameo from Walt and Jesse, will appear in the final episodes and important Breaking Bad scenarios that may play out differently than fans recall. Moreover, the prequel has made a shocking revelation on where is Lalo in Breaking Bad? Here is all we know.
Better Call Saul co-creator and showrunner Peter Gould told Variety in April that “these two universes cross over that you haven’t seen before.”
Here are some of the unanswered issues that Better Call Saul has highlighted and how clues from Breaking Bad may be able to aid.
Breaking Bad did not unfold all mysteries!!
“It’s not only particular to people and places,” Seehorn told Entertainment Weekly, “but also plot threads from Breaking Bad and understanding the peripheral portions of some of them, and some of the Rashomon effect of what was going season.”
The Rashomon effect is named after the Akira Kurosawa film of the same name, which depicted the same events from many people’s perspectives, frequently revealing dramatic differences in how the events unfolded for everyone. Better Call Saul’s final season is expected to help reframe what viewers thought they understood about Breaking Bad.
Where is Lalo in Breaking Bad? Lalo’s retaliation tour
With the aid of a frying pan full of boiling oil, Lalo, the nephew of drug lord Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis), narrowly avoids an assassination attempt by his foe Gus Fring. He’s now on a vendetta against Gus and anybody else he believes was complicit in the botched hit, including Nacho and his newly appointed lawyer, Saul Goodman.
Although Lalo did not appear in Breaking Bad, Saul does mention him once during the second season premiere. In the appropriately named episode “Better Call Saul,” a frightened Saul tries to persuade them that he is a cartel buddy after being kidnapped by disguised Walter and Jesse.
Kim Wexler is missing!!
As Better Call Saul draws to an end, this is the question on everyone’s mind. Kim, the do-gooder lawyer with a wild streak, is never seen or addressed on Breaking Bad, making it difficult to piece together her whereabouts in the Walter White-centric show.
Rhea Seehorn stated that this season would go further into Kim’s past and provide some explanation for her motivations. “Can you work in a bubble where your activities have no repercussions or consequences?”
Before the April debut, Seehorn told Entertainment Weekly. “Kim appears to be toying with the idea that you can.” Kim’s “actions and repercussions are greater” in season 6, according to Seehorn.
“People discovering the implications of their acts and having possibilities to get out of something before it gets too far is a continual concern, and Kim is in the same situation.”
