Ahsoka Casting Update: Obi-Wan’s Ewan McGregor Reveal A Major Casting Update!!

After years of clamoring from Star Wars fans for Ewan McGregor to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, the actor’s wish will come true in 2022 when he plays in his Disney+ series. Ewan recently dropped a big update on the Ahsoka cast. Here is all we know.

Ewan McGregor Dropped A Big Update On Ahsoka Cast!!

Ahsoka Cast

According to Lucasfilm, the special event series will begin production soon, revealing the entire primary Ahsoka cast.

In addition to Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in the prequel trilogy, will reprise his role, most likely in the famous Darth Vader outfit.

The cast list also revealed that Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse would be reprising their roles as Luke’s Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, respectively, for the first time since Revenge of the Sith.

Apart from the fact that it takes place between the prequel and original trilogies, nothing is known about the project’s narrative. Obi-Wan resided on Tatooine throughout this time, keeping an eye on Luke Skywalker as he grew up, which explains Edgerton and Piesse’s homecoming.

Along with the obvious returning favorites, the star-studded cast included massive stars like Kumail Nanjiani from Eternals, Indira Varma from Game of Thrones, and Moses Ingram from The Queen’s Gambit. Despite the varied cast release, all new entrants’ parts were left unfilled.

Ahsoka Cast Update: INGRAM, MOSES

Despite being a relative newbie to the Star Wars universe and Hollywood in general, Moses Ingram was given third billing on the series’ latest cast release, after Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen.

The Inquisitor is the main prediction

The Inquisitors have yet to appear in a live-action Star Wars film, but the Ewan McGregor-led spin-off series seems to be the ideal venue for them to do so.

In Star Wars: Rebels, the gang of Dark Side force users searched the galaxy for and killed the few surviving Jedi who escaped Order 66.

So far, 11 Inquisitors have been established in the canon, with some being male and others being female. Despite spending time in the legendary Darth Vader outfit, Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker is unlikely to be the series’ principal villain.

Bonus Guess of Ahsoka Cast: Tano, the young

Last year, Rosario Dawson, who made her acting debut in The Mandalorian and will star in her Disney+ series, was cast as Ahsoka Tano in the live-action Star Wars world.

However, Rosario Dawson’s portrayal of the legendary Clone Wars Jedi is substantially older than previous depictions, as she would be 45 years old.

Ahsoka Cast

With Obi-Wan Kenobi set only ten years after Revenge of the Sith, Ahsoka would be 27 at the time of the series, the same age as Ingram. The two force-users fought alongside one other throughout the Clone Wars. Thus it’s possible their paths intersect again before Kenobi’s death in A New Hope.

Many have hypothesized that with Hayden Christensen’s return to the character of Anakin Skywalker, he and MacGregor may be deaged for some flashback scenes to the prequel trilogy’s time frame. While she was established after the trilogy, Ahsoka had a significant part in the couple’s lives throughout that time and would be a natural fit.

Before rewrites, Star Wars Legends villain A’Sharad Hett was planned to be Obi-Wan Kenobi’s primary enemy, according to a report from The Illuminerdy last year. Hett was a Jedi during the Clone Wars who rejoined the Tuskan Raiders as a warlord following Order 66, according to non-canon comics.

Make sure to stay tuned for more updates on the Ahsoka cast and more.
